Back & neck pain

Back pain physio in Derry

Specialist physiotherapy for back pain, neck pain and sciatica — find out what’s causing it, ease the pain and get moving with confidence again.

Back and neck pain is common — and very treatable.

Most back and neck pain isn’t caused by serious damage, but it can be painful, worrying and hard to live with. Physiotherapy helps by finding what’s driving your symptoms — whether that’s stiffness, muscle weakness, posture, a nerve, or the way you move — and treating it directly.

Liam has postgraduate training in spinal therapy and musculoskeletal medicine, and will give you a clear explanation, hands-on treatment and an exercise plan you can actually stick to.

Should I rest my back?

Usually not for long. Gentle movement generally helps back pain recover faster than bed rest — Liam will show you what’s safe to do.

Do I need a scan first?

Most back pain doesn’t need a scan. A thorough physiotherapy assessment can usually identify the problem, and Liam will advise if you need to see your GP.

Can you help with sciatica?

Yes. Physiotherapy can help ease pain from an irritated nerve and improve how far and how comfortably you can move.
